description:
If you are developer of web based perl application you know what is text configuration files for your CGI scripts. You do not like them, users of your applications hate them. indexsoft configurator lets you to rid of headache and forget about text edit of configuration files.

installation:

1. unpack 'configurator.zip'
2. change the first line of 'configme.cgi' (#!/usr/bin/perl) to match the actual path to your perl executable, if needed. This line should contain symbols "!#" at the beginning of line and the full pathname of your Perl executable.
3. copy all files to any directory where your scripts run (most likely cgi-bin). If you upload files via FTP to a *nix system, ensure that you are uploading it in ASCII mode.
4. chmod 'configme.cgi' to 755
5. open 'configme.cgi' from your browser and play with prepared example

intergation with your own web based applications:

1. Change language of the indexsoft configurator if required (language link at the bottom of the screen)
2. Create configuration file with initial values (see included 'example.ini' for example)
3. Create pure perl configuration file for your perl script using indexsoft configurator.
4. Modify included templates to fit your needs (see 'skins' directory with prepared examples)
5. Configure indexsoft configurator to use configuration file with initial values and your templates by default (configure link at the bottom of the screen)
6. Remove configuration variables from your script and replace them all with perl 'requre' function showing created configuration file to it.
7. Make a 'configure' link from your application to indexsoft configurator if required

available licences:

• personal licence:
  Only for personal use. With this type of licence you can use indexsoft configurator only for your own needs. Usage of indexsoft configurator in organizations or in development of any commercial product prohibited.
• corparate licence:
  With this type of licence you can use indexsoft configurator in development of product which usage limited by organization. Only one product and one organization are allowed. To use indexsoft configurator in development of another product or use it in another organization you need to purchase this type of licence again.
• development licence:
  With this type of licence you can use indexsoft configurator in development of your commercial product. Only one product is allowed. To use indexsoft configurator in development of another commercial product you need to purchase this type of licence again.

distribution of the evaluation version:
You may copy the evaluation version of this software and documentation as you wish, and give complete and exact copies of the original evaluation version to anyone, and distribute the evaluation version of the software and documentation in its unmodified form via electronic means. But you may not charge or request donations for any such copies however made and may not distribute the software and/or documentation with any other products without the author's written permission.
